Is this your dog?

Ok, who ever left this large killing machine in my back yard, is welcome anytime to stop by and retrieve it.

Found on the evening of July 24 2004, and still here. Mind you, nobody is coming near the house with this horse sized jaws of doom waiting for them! I am full to capacity with five cats, two turtles, and a dog. So somebody come do the right thing and get your dog!

**UPDATE**
Well perhaps there is more to this than a lost doggie after all? When I arrived back last night there were flowers on the doorstep. Not unusual as I have a great neighbor who often leaves them, after doing green-thmubery things in their garden. But when I was warning them today of the new fatal-friend in the yard, they informed me that they did not leave them there. Was this from the mysterious doggie dropper?

**UPDATE**
Managed to get the wonderful Amy from It's a ROTTn PITy! to come take a brief look at the dog. It's a ROTTn PITy! do great work, finding homes for those animals so desperately in need of care (and often attention too). Amy is trying to get funding as well as a place to take the as yet nameless Rottweiler.

The dog is most definately female, and seems older. Right now has an amazingly calm attitude to life. But seems to be in a lot of pain. A visit to the vet will soon sort out the start of getting her back to full health. She is living in the yard in a hastily constructed (and very large) house. Wimpering occasionally, but mostly still. Seems to love people and the attention she is getting so far. I hope she does not take it upon herself to vanish once she feels better. She is eating and drinking like a late comer to a Roman orgy, so no problems there, although she is flinching at very light touches to anything other than her head. It's a big dog and in the image below what looks like a plastic bowl which recently contained food is actually a football stadium!

**UPDATE** July 26th 2004 (Must get a graphic for this I think....)
It appears the dog is about 6 years old, and simply in heat, nothing more serious. The only serious thing about it seems to be the 79lb of pure doggie! But even during the examination, there was not a single sign of 'I don't want this' coming from the dog, merely putting up with it.

Added to the LOST AND FOUND website, so hopefully if the person out there is looking, then they may just find them!

**UPDATE** July 29th 2004
Dog finally got to it's new home. She has a black lab puppy to keep her company. Don't tell anyone but I actually had a SLIGHTLY hard time walking away from her when I gave her over. It didn't help the fact that she tried to follow me home, and watched me all the way down the road. Now she finally has a home.

I had to stand on a ladder to shoot it from this angle, honestly, uh huh!
Female, Approx Age 6, 79lb
