Who makes these things?

I was in Target the other day, looking at some video game stuff, and came across this little GameBoy Advance section they had there. As usual they had all the consoles on display so you could try what ever game they were trying to sell that week. I always wonder who comes up with the little pieces these things sit on, or in? I mean, do Nintendo and others all have their sales department's sub section spending every waking moment, coming up with new designs on which to display their goodies? I have the sinking feeling of Jedi-consumerism that perhaps they do!

I want to know more!
