Oh no, somebody save me! I have been getting quite addicted to this dancing thing. I was staggering about like a bad Charlie Chaplin wanna-be, not very convincingly pretending to be standing on a sheet of marbles...oh how sad. I wonder if they can legitimately take you away for such things...?

Probably get my honourary Olivia Newton John pink headband and leggings soon! I suspect that you are not supposed to sweat so much BEFORE you start dancing though.

Well, that was Christmas. Not bad at all :)

Bit weird and don't you dare tell anyone that the only thing I was good at all over Christmas was this dance game for the Playstation 2! I can't believe it. I had seen the footage of mad Japanese game fans, contorting themselves while gyrating around, with what looks like eleven feet, on those games. In the brief moment I would dare make an approximation of my own abilities, it wasn't a great insight. Some sort of camp elephant, lumbering around, with my breasts slapping me in the face at every jump, and lightbulbs cascading from every ceiling point on the floor(s) below me.

But I wasn't, HA! More like some sad mid-life crisis event, without realising it....

Anyway, it's a groovy thing. So groovy in fact I went out and got a second dance pad....oh er... don't tell anyone that either...

Now what was it I had to get? Ok let's pretend it's December 25th, about 8 in the morning, thereby too late to get anything more, and so an obvious time for the brain to release the secrets of what I had pasted on my mental to-get list.......(strain, sweat) nothing.....perhaps if I cruise the mean bargain strewn streets of this fair city, it will bash the door down on my brain...like some synaptic swat team, intent on getting the message across.

Well, I can hope can't I?

I feel sorry for those voice over people, that do the ads for the items that "if you ring now, you will get a second 'insert radical life changing appliance here' for only $19.99!". As they are the only thing on the entire commercial that you really believe. I mean, these people sound like they actually think it's a good idea. Gotta go, I've only got 16 mins until the offer ends for a automatic shirt folding device.....

Going back the "Englishman Abroad" theme for one entry.... I always have trouble with the "coolness" thing here. Now in my native culture, this extends to the outer reaches of the teenage years, after which is replaced by a world weary "being reserved" for the rest of the repressed life of said people. The US cool, reached an all time high the other day while in a new store. The entire staff acted as though no-one else existed, and yet managed to conduct a "normal" days business. Everyone was walking about with permenant expressions of disinterest, seemingly deaf, and oblivious to any other living entity on the planet. Is this a positive way to live your life?

Who knows?

It was as if marooned on planet "13-19" with no hope of rescue. And try as I might I could not figure out how on earth anyone, attracted anyone elses attention (as it seems you are not supposed to make any effort in this area), let alone RESPOND to anyone else. Just try and imagine not being able to, or for that matter WANTING to, catch anyones eye, but needing to do so to carry out your assigned daily tasks.

While being extremely confused by the whole issue, it always looks (from an overseas perspective) that everyone here seems to choose to look miserable, all day, every day, mistaking it for being "cool". Am I wrong? Other countries would probably issue a good swat around the ear, to the offending personage, and tell them to snap out of it/grow up, as it makes them look as if they have soiled themselves!

Extreme perplexment ensued...

Here is an experiment to keep everything about someone online. Apparently a "rich media enhanced timeline of their experiences and work". I'm all for experimenting, but something about it just does not seem worth it. The net already has a way of capturing the world in snapshots, moment to moment. A lot of people already DO keep their records in digital form anyway, so perhaps M$ is just using the fanciful notion of this, to experiment with another server type technology.....Tablet PC anyone?

WOW, I think I've found it!

Now what is the deal? I spent all these years being totally indifferent to the plight (is that how one spells it?) of cats. Not cruel, merely not wishing to get into the whole "Snookie hasn't eaten her favourite prime tuna chunkie-wunkies....etc etc". Now I spend most of the night wading through similarly minded newsgroups to find out how long the latest operated on cat, should wear one of those plastic lampshade things, to stop it chewing it's stitches. Releasing it's bowels, in probably the most literal, and wrong way possible!

And from my research it seems that YES, cats CAN survive a long fall.

SUCCESS! It seems my little furry pals, were all adopted over the weekend, (phew), as I was planning on buying them all back again if they were to face the death by however it is they do it, but don't tell anyone I told you :)

Thanks to the chaps at the animal house for getting the furry chaps to their new homes in time for Christmas.....oh... that reminds me......

Well, it's time for the kittens to leave us tomorrow........and I may just go back there and collect them when their time is nearly up....so if anyone out there is in need of a black and white, and two grey kittens, just let me know and I will box them up and ship them to you :)
